I joined the PEEL Club in 2008 as I wanted a formal qualification in Employment Law and had found it difficult to find a suitable relevant qualification that I could fit into my busy life. As attendance is spread over the course of the year I was able to attend and study for the PG Certificate while keeping up with my other commitments.
Patricia Leighton's delivery of complex legal issues is not only precise but also witty and engaging - which is a boon as sometimes the detail and content of the law is not the most riveting of subjects! The opportunity to meet other professionals over coffee and lunch is a boon as there is an opportunity to confidentially discuss current cases/issues arising in the workplace. I have found the PEEL Club enormously beneficial and plan to return in 2009 to complete the PG Diploma.
