In today’s complex and pressurised world, thoughtful leaders and managers are increasingly realising that there are no ‘magic bullets’ when attempting to improve organisational effectiveness. This course will teach you the principles of Organisational Development (OD) and how to apply coherent and sustained programmes with clear organisational outcomes always in mind.

  • Identify and distinguish particular drivers for change
  • Assess how various OD interventions are likely to affect targeted issues
  • Develop a logical plan to use a particular technique within your organisation
All leaders and managers who see a need for carefully planned and coordinated activities in order to improve organisational effectiveness.
  • Internal and external drivers for change, including:
  1. Analytical tools
  2. Audits of ‘best fit’
  3. Strategic thinking
  4. Planning
  • The range of interventions available – focusing always on their purpose, and covering survey research and feedback, culture analysis and refinement, team building and development, management and talent development, sensitivity and conflict management training, change management and coaching support, use of internal and external consultants, facilitation of action learning sets, and encouragement of pockets of good practice
  • How to determine which combinations or sets of techniques are likely to work well together to support or achieve the organisational change desired
  • How to develop plans to apply techniques – including specifying short and long-term goals, gathering sponsorship, assessing the interplay of key variables and influential stakeholders, applying project disciplines

Payment:
Must be made in full no later than 14 working days prior to the course start date.

Transfers:
The following charges will apply if you wish to transfer your booking to a later course date:
21+ working days before a course = 0% of the course fee
5-20 working days before a course = 50% of the course fee
1-4 working days before a course = 100% of the course fee

Substitute delegates:
You can transfer a place on a course to a substitute delegate free of charge.

Cancellations:
The following charges will apply if you wish to cancel a course:
21+ working days before a course = 20%
1-20 working days before a course = 100%

Cancellations must be received in writing via email to courses@capita-ld.co.uk and must contain the full booking details including organisation name, booking and delegate contact details.
