Recruitment and selection can have huge consequences if not carried out well; errors of judgment are bound to impact on team performance, and there is the ever-present possibility of falling foul of the law, with the associated reputational loss.

In this course we introduce you to the necessary processes, skills and knowledge that will help to minimise the chances of poor, or illegal, recruitment. The course is fun and interactive and there is an opportunity to practice interviewing and receiving feedback.

Line managers or HR staff new to recruitment interviewing. It is also suitable for more experienced interviewers who may be concerned that they are not approaching the task in the best possible way.
  • Identify the six stages of the recruitment and selection process
  • Learn the purpose and importance of each stage
  • Explain the requirements of the law at all stages of the process
  • Analyse job requirements and develop effective person specifications
  • Identify the structure of a behaviour-based interview
  • Develop and use effective questions to uncover required competencies
  • Use the information from the interview to evaluate and select the best candidate for the position

Payment:
Must be made in full no later than 14 working days prior to the course start date.

Transfers:
The following charges will apply if you wish to transfer your booking to a later course date:
21+ working days before a course = 0% of the course fee
5-20 working days before a course = 50% of the course fee
1-4 working days before a course = 100% of the course fee

Substitute delegates:
You can transfer a place on a course to a substitute delegate free of charge.

Cancellations:
The following charges will apply if you wish to cancel a course:
21+ working days before a course = 20%
1-20 working days before a course = 100%

Cancellations must be received in writing via email to courses@capita-ld.co.uk and must contain the full booking details including organisation name, booking and delegate contact details.
