Experienced administrators can take pressure off their managers by leading a team of administrators to ensure the smooth operation of the business. This course enables them to delegate, oversee their team and be the first point of contact when there is a problem.

  • Build and develop an effective team to support the business needs
  • Understand how to problem solve, motivate, encourage and delegate more effectively
  • Develop the skills needed to interview, select, counsel and communicate effectively with colleagues including difficult conversations and discipline
Administrators, PA’s and Secretaries who have a responsibility for supervising or managing others. This programme is not designed for newly appointed administrators.
  • Management techniques – problem solving and decision making tools, effective delegation, and understanding motivation and its impact on performance
  • Management styles – identifying your style and skills needed to manage the team more effectively
  • How to build an effective support team to manage the workload effectively including constructive and motivational feedback, team dynamics, effective on-the-job training
  • Interviewing – understanding the key stages of the interview process and the legal responsibilities and skills to interview effectively
  • Influencing and persuading – how to get your point across effectively and how to communicate your ideas to the team

Payment:
Must be made in full no later than 14 working days prior to the course start date.

Transfers:
The following charges will apply if you wish to transfer your booking to a later course date:
21+ working days before a course = 0% of the course fee
5-20 working days before a course = 50% of the course fee
1-4 working days before a course = 100% of the course fee

Substitute delegates:
You can transfer a place on a course to a substitute delegate free of charge.

Cancellations:
The following charges will apply if you wish to cancel a course:
21+ working days before a course = 20%
1-20 working days before a course = 100%

Cancellations must be received in writing via email to courses@capita-ld.co.uk and must contain the full booking details including organisation name, booking and delegate contact details.
