Successful organisations need to operate with clear standards and manage their employees in a fair and consistent way. Today’s workplace is often busy and conflicts can sometimes turn into disputes if they are not prevented early.

This workshop focuses on ensuring standards are upheld, performance issues and conflicts are managed fairly, consistently and stay within the legal framework.

  • Conduct interviews effectively
  • Use effective listening and questioning techniques to ensure investigations are thorough and fair
  • Hold robust grievance, disciplinary and appeal hearings
Line Managers or HR professionals hearing grievances, conducting investigations or disciplinary hearings.
  • Organisational policy and procedures and legal responsibilities
  • The role of ACAS and employment tribunals
  • Conducting and structuring professional interviews at all stages of the disciplinary and grievance procedure
  • The importance of factual evidence
  • The role of the employee companion/ union representative 
  • Creating an atmosphere that will encourage positive responses from all involved
  • The importance of accurate note-taking
  • Dealing with emotion and sensitive issues during the disciplinary and grievance process

Payment:
Must be made in full no later than 14 working days prior to the course start date.

Transfers:
The following charges will apply if you wish to transfer your booking to a later course date:
21+ working days before a course = 0% of the course fee
5-20 working days before a course = 50% of the course fee
1-4 working days before a course = 100% of the course fee

Substitute delegates:
You can transfer a place on a course to a substitute delegate free of charge.

Cancellations:
The following charges will apply if you wish to cancel a course:
21+ working days before a course = 20%
1-20 working days before a course = 100%

Cancellations must be received in writing via email to courses@capita-ld.co.uk and must contain the full booking details including organisation name, booking and delegate contact details.
