If you are to gain co-operation and understanding, then influencing and persuading becomes a vital resource. This course has been designed to achieve mutually beneficial solutions between parties and proactivity in the workplace by equipping individuals with positive influencing skills and persuasion techniques.

  • Develop sound working relationships built on trust and mutual respect
  • Ascertain the values of others with effective questioning and active listening techniques
  • Utilise different influencing styles and adapt your behaviour accordingly to manage conflict and move towards compromise
Individuals at all levels who wish to influence and persuade positively.
  • Defining persuasion and influence
  • Push vs. pull persuasion styles and the behavioural implications of both when persuading
  • Perception – how you perceive situations and how others may perceive you
  • The power of positive thought – preparing for the persuasion discussion
  • Communication techniques (verbal and non-verbal) and building rapport
  • Understanding values and how to persuade around these
  • Questioning techniques to understand values and build relationships
  • Listening skills and the pyramid of active listening
  • Identifying persuasion styles and how to adapt behaviours to meet the style
  • Dealing with conflict – handling difficult situations without emotions
  • Action planning around identified practical scenario

Payment:
Must be made in full no later than 14 working days prior to the course start date.

Transfers:
The following charges will apply if you wish to transfer your booking to a later course date:
21+ working days before a course = 0% of the course fee
5-20 working days before a course = 50% of the course fee
1-4 working days before a course = 100% of the course fee

Substitute delegates:
You can transfer a place on a course to a substitute delegate free of charge.

Cancellations:
The following charges will apply if you wish to cancel a course:
21+ working days before a course = 20%
1-20 working days before a course = 100%

Cancellations must be received in writing via email to courses@capita-ld.co.uk and must contain the full booking details including organisation name, booking and delegate contact details.
