This course will provide you with a framework for understanding the people involved in projects and equip you with the skills and knowledge to work most effectively with others. Without these key people skills project managers often fail.

  • Maintain control of project progress through influencing and negotiation
  • Achieve greater collaboration and avoid unnecessary conflicts
  • Handle conflict constructively and professionally
Managers and project leaders who are involved in projects. Participants should already have some awareness of project working and its challenges.
  • How to build relationships with your stakeholders – understanding and listening; communicating and selling the project to them
  • Understanding your own personal strengths and their impact on success – using the Strength Deployment Inventory™
  • Enthusing project participants and maintaining their motivation
  • Team dynamics and the key factors for project team success
  • Strategies and tactics for managing conflict
  • Negotiating ‘win-win’ outcomes
  • Influencing and persuading key people on your project

Payment:
Must be made in full no later than 14 working days prior to the course start date.

Transfers:
The following charges will apply if you wish to transfer your booking to a later course date:
21+ working days before a course = 0% of the course fee
5-20 working days before a course = 50% of the course fee
1-4 working days before a course = 100% of the course fee

Substitute delegates:
You can transfer a place on a course to a substitute delegate free of charge.

Cancellations:
The following charges will apply if you wish to cancel a course:
21+ working days before a course = 20%
1-20 working days before a course = 100%

Cancellations must be received in writing via email to courses@capita-ld.co.uk and must contain the full booking details including organisation name, booking and delegate contact details.
