Writing reports is a key part of communication in the workplace. Nevertheless, few writers receive the training they need to write reports quickly and under pressure. This course covers the essential steps in the writing process to build confidence and skills. This course is recognised by the Institute of Leadership and Management and enables the learner to access an ILM Development Award.

This course is ideal for those who are writing business reports for the first time, either as part of management or a team. Also, for those who have been writing reports for a short while and who want to ensure that they are following the guidelines of good practice.
  • Introducing the report writing methodology
  • Applying key objectives to different types of reports
  • Planning content according to the objectives
  • Applying planning tools to different types of reports
  • Defining and developing an appropriate style and tone in business writing
  • Applying the style guidelines to different types of reports
  • Polishing and proof-reading to industry standard
  • Applying proof-reading guidelines to different types of reports
  • Creating an action plan for further development as a writer

Payment:
Must be made in full no later than 14 working days prior to the course start date.

Transfers:
The following charges will apply if you wish to transfer your booking to a later course date:
21+ working days before a course = 0% of the course fee
5-20 working days before a course = 50% of the course fee
1-4 working days before a course = 100% of the course fee

Substitute delegates:
You can transfer a place on a course to a substitute delegate free of charge.

Cancellations:
The following charges will apply if you wish to cancel a course:
21+ working days before a course = 20%
1-20 working days before a course = 100%

Cancellations must be received in writing via email to courses@capita-ld.co.uk and must contain the full booking details including organisation name, booking and delegate contact details.
