  • Approach negotiation situations with confidence and influence win-win outcomes
  • Integrate the negotiation skills into a management role
  • Understand the importance of building long-term relationships through using supportive negotiation strategies.
Managers and any other professionals who negotiate with staff, suppliers, clients and colleagues, internally and externally.
  • Learn how to generate a win-win outcome – even when the other party is showing no interest in achieving that result
  • Explore different approaches to negotiation and when to use them
  • Discover how to prepare for the negotiation and establish your limits and boundaries in advance
  • Create a game plan and learn to think on your feet to demonstrate a flexible approach
  • Establish what to do during negotiations – use of questioning techniques, focused listening and the ability to pick up signals and act on them during negotiations
  • Develop techniques for persuading and encouraging agreement based on mutual interests
  • Practise how to close a negotiation successfully and know when to stop
  • Analyse your approach and attitude to negotiation.
  • Are you competing too much? Are you building trust and valuing long-term relationships?
  • Establish how to handle tricky tactics and how to stay emotionally neutral
  • Participate in role play exercises, analysis and feedback
  • Draft individual action plans to achieve results through effective negotiation.

Payment:
Must be made in full no later than 14 working days prior to the course start date.

Transfers:
The following charges will apply if you wish to transfer your booking to a later course date:
21+ working days before a course = 0% of the course fee
5-20 working days before a course = 50% of the course fee
1-4 working days before a course = 100% of the course fee

Substitute delegates:
You can transfer a place on a course to a substitute delegate free of charge.

Cancellations:
The following charges will apply if you wish to cancel a course:
21+ working days before a course = 20%
1-20 working days before a course = 100%

Cancellations must be received in writing via email to courses@capita-ld.co.uk and must contain the full booking details including organisation name, booking and delegate contact details.
