Understanding the UK Legal System
This course will provide delegates with an understanding of the Criminal Justice System in the United Kingdom, including a review of the differences between English/Welsh, Northern Ireland and Scottish law. It will develop your necessary knowledge and awareness to effectively work and collaborate with the Criminal Justice System and to meet the potential demands and objectives of your organisation.

Fraud Awareness – Decreasing Risk and Vulnerability
This course provides an introduction to the various types of fraud that are perpetrated and how they can be effectively prevented and countered, which covers false representation, malfeasance, impersonation and identity hijacking. The course provides a brief but comprehensive overview of the law including offences under the Fraud Act 2006, descriptions of fraud activities and the vulnerabilities that are exploited by criminals.

Interviewing Under Caution
This course will provide you with the skills, knowledge and awareness to undertake Interviews Under Caution, in line with all guidelines, legislation and regulations. You will be introduced to the ‘best practice’ guidelines on conducting interviews, including technology used within these interviews, such as the dual tape interviewing machine, and be made aware of how to use these effectively. You will gain the skills to conduct an effective interview and receive guidance on how to get the most out of your interview.

Internal Investigation for Managers (1 day)
This course will provide you with knowledge of the initial recording and investigation process. It will include aspects of your role as a team leader (or supervisor) when faced with an allegation of misconduct. You will be introduced to the different types of potential investigation (civil and criminal), and how they differ from each other, with regards to your involvement, possible outcomes and impact upon your teams.

Counter Fraud Investigation (2 days)
This course will provide you with the skills and knowledge to effectively undertake or participate in a counter fraud activities and investigation. You will be made aware of the different types of fraud, and provided with practical techniques, advice and practices to influence policy and reduce the risk and loss associated through fraud to your organisation. You will be provided with a framework of how to structure and plan an investigation in accordance with legislation, regulation and good practice.
