Overview

The Test Administration training course is designed to provide background knowledge as well as the experience necessary to administer ability tests. 

Upon completion of the course delegates will be able to administer and score ability and aptitude tests from a wide range of test publishers. 

It does not accredit delegates to choose, purchase or feedback psychometric tests.

HR and personnel officers, careers advisors and support staff who will be involved in administering tests. 

Open & In-house courses

The Test administration course can be run in two ways:

1.       Open course – this is where delegates from a range of organisations come together to complete the course.

2.        In-house course – if you wish, Capita can arrange for this course to be run solely for your benefit either in your offices or at a suitable external venue. 

Outline programme

·          Introduction to assessment - Understand the different types of psychometric tests.

·          Principles of Test Administration - Develop practical skills required to administer tests.  Learn how to handle problems at a test session and how to ensure standardisation of approach.

·          Scoring and the use of comparison groups - Understand methods of scoring and the use of comparison groups and basic statistical concepts to make sense of an individual’s test score.

·          Test security and ethics - Develop an awareness of the security issues involved in test use and the importance of using tests ethically and in accordance with best practice.

·          Discrimination and Disability awareness - Understand the legal issues surrounding assessment and selection and the employers’ responsibilities to ensure that discrimination is not occurring.
